The interior is entered through the companionway and down a teak ladder into the saloon. Galley is to starboard with the nav station forward on starboard. The galley has marble counter tops and there is a large double sink located on centerline. The microwave is built in above the two separate refrigerator freezers. There are separate compressor units for the two refers. The compressors are both water and air cooled. The refrigerator has a separate lower access door. The U-shaped dinette is to port forward. The four AGM batteries are located under the dinette.

Access to the master stateroom is aft on the port side. The electric breaker panel is located at eye level on starboard as you move aft.

Engine access is through three doors, and the cabinet under the mirror in the stateroom opens. The generator set is located athwartships at the aft end of the engine space.

The master stateroom has a centerline queen berth and a separate head with shower stall.

Moving forward out of the saloon you move into the guest stateroom which has a Pullman berth. There is also a work bench opposite the berth with a vise.

Forward of the guest stateroom is the second head with sink. There is a wood cover for the toilet so that when not in use it becomes a storage shelf. Forward of the head area is a large storage area with shelves. The anchor chain locker is also accessed here.

On deck you find wide walkways on both sides and staples are mounted around the mast for sail handling. There are two large lazarette lockers located at the transom.
With double lifelines and teak decks it is easy to move on deck in heavy weather.

The domestic water heater is 12 gallons and is heated by dock side electric and generator plus engine.

Broker's Comments

The Taswell 43 is a proven offshore design. This vessel has been sailed in the Puget Sound and through British Columbia waters for the past ten years. Its previous owner sailed it into the South Seas.

This model is included in a list of ten boats praised by Practical Sailor as top off shore sailing vessels. It is often compared with high-end European boats like Malo, Najad, Swan and Hallberg Rassy.

The cutter rig gives you a well-balanced sail plan. And with the furling staysail and triple reefed main it is well-balanced in heavy weather. Over all this vessel gives you a well-finished interior that's easy to live in, plus a great sailing boat in any kind of weather.

Maintenance and replacement of questionable parts has been extensive. Even the refrigeration / freezer systems have been replaced.

It's at our docks in Seattle. Give us a call and come aboard.
