|Cruising speed (approx)||10 knots|
|Max speed (approx)||16 knots|
A defined "cruising speed" as stated above is a bit of a misnomer. Thanks to the unique hull design and powerful propulsion the boat cruises very well at any speed up to its max speed. Unlike conventional semi-displacement hulls or planing hulls there is no awkward speed to avoid. So pick your favorite speed and set your throttle!
An additional cruising speed "data point" -- 7 knots burns about 1.5 gallons/hour.
TAMD-41P six-cylinder turbo-diesel - quiet running and reliable power. A well-regarded engine with only 1050 hours.
Keypower bow thruster.
Sellers have added an Amsoil dual remote oil filter assembly to replace the on-engine oil filter which provides better filtration and neater oil changes.
Dual Racor fuel filters with vacuum gauge.
Engine has dual alternators for house and start banks. DC system upgrade includes 3-step regulator, monitor, and a total of four house batteries. 1750 watt Xantrex inverter and Xantrex TrueCharge 40+ charger.

The hull of the Camano 31 is unique and well-regarded for its stability, seaworthiness, and efficiency. The deep, hollow v-shaped keel provides about 25% of the hull's displacement, and above displacement speeds helps lift the stern so that water runs cleanly off the transom, thus maintaining a more linear speed-fuel relationship up to 16 knots. An additional benefit of the Keelform hull is that the engine is mounted in the keel, lowering the center of gravity. The boat heels very little even in tight turns. The owners speak of its stable performance in difficult sea conditions and its fuel efficiency, especially at speeds from 10 - 14 knots that are difficult for planing or displacement hulls of this size. Generous bow flare (unlike most others in this class) keeps the spray down.
Prop and rudder are protected by a skeg.
The exceptionally large window area is subdivided into enough segments that structural rigidity is maintained.
Solid, hand-laid fiberglass below the waterline, with foam coring above the waterline. The windlass and deck fixtures are backed with metal backing plates.
Extensive sound-deadening insulation is used in the cabin floor, making the boat unusually quiet in operation.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed does not independently verify capacities and measurements, which are reported from seller-provided information and/or literature.

Force 10 propane range, Sunbeam microwave, NovaKool refrigerator/freezer, Webasto Air Top diesel-fired forced air cabin heat. General Ecology "Nature Pure" water filter dispenser added at sink for drinking and cooking water purity.
VacuFlush sanitation system. SensaTank tank level monitor in head, for water and holding tank levels.
Vee berth forward (6'5" on centerline), saloon seating converts to double berth. Large hanging locker. Drawers are well-located, storage beneath settees and berths is fairly abundant. TV on mount in vee berth operates on 12 v and has hidden HD antenna on flybridge.
Sturdy folding helm chair stores out of the way.
The owners have added many power outlets -- 120 volt AC, 12 volt DC, and USB -- which adds considerable convenience. And most of the lighting has been converted to LEDs.
